Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and Whiting School of Engineering
To achieve this goal, the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering recruits and retains graduate students from diverse populations. Diversity creates the best quality academic programs because it is a source of strength and creativity. Ben Tang and Caroline McEnnis are on a mission to let young people know that lack of a sight is not an obstacle to a career in science. Under the direction of Materials Science and Engineering assistant professor Michael Yu, the Hopkins engineering graduate students organized and conducted a four-day event designed to engage blind high school students in learning about engineering, science, and technology.
