Welcome Week Schedule for all Homewood Full-time Graduate Students
Welcome Week is an opportunity for new full-time graduate students to become acquainted with the Homewood campus, services and policies, departments and colleagues. Prior to the start of the fall semester, graduate students are expected to attend both departmental and division-wide orientations and welcome week activities.
*Part-time Students at AAP and EP: The welcome week schedule below is pertinent only to full-time graduate students in Arts, Sciences and Engineering. Students in Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) or the Engineering for Professionals (EP) program are part-time students. Information about orientation for part-time graduate programs can be found at Advanced Academic Programs and Engineering for Professionals.

Upload your J-Card (student ID card) photo prior to arriving on campus
Log into https://my.jh.edu. You will be prompted to upload a photo or skip the process. Upload the photo you would like to appear on your J-Card, by Friday, July 31st and we will have it available for you at early orientation check-in. You will still be able to upload your photo after July 31st, but there will be no guarantee it will be available at early check-in.
Please Note: When the photo upload prompt is skipped, it takes 45 minutes for it to reappear. If you log out and wait, you should see the prompt again.

Early Orientation Check-In
This year we will be holding early check-in days for orientation. Early check-in will be held in the Office of Graduate Admissions and Enrollment, located in 28 Shriver Hall (Ground Level), on the following days:

Come see us! You will be able to pick-up your fun-filled welcome bag and J-Card on these days. You can stop in anytime during the days and time mentioned above.
The RSVP form link will be posted and emailed to you shortly. Please be sure to check the email account you used on your application.
Thursday, August 20, 2015 (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
- 9:30 – 10:00 AM – Light Refreshments and Check-in (Shriver Hall Auditorium)
- 10:00 – 10:30 AM – Deans’ Welcome
- 10:30 – 12:00 PM – Sessions (Sessions will cover various academic and administrative topics)

TA Orientation Program (Mandatory for All NEW First-time TA’s)
Tuesday, August 25, 2015 (8:30 AM – 1:00 PM)
This is a mandatory TA orientation for all NEW First-time TA’s. This program is sponsored by the TA Training Institute. Lunch will be served.
