Message from the Dean

Welcome to the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) graduate admissions website, serving the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering. Together, the two schools offer 36 different full-time graduate programs.

As the nation’s first research university, Johns Hopkins is committed to the creation of knowledge and has a proud history of graduate education. Alumni of our graduate programs include award-winning novelists, pioneering engineers, major museum curators, cutting edge scientists, and even a U.S. president—Woodrow Wilson.

Historically, our tradition of graduate education preceded undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins, and we continue to be the standard-bearer. We remain committed to educating the next generation of scholars, fostering the professional, intellectual, and research skills they need for success in any professional domain—from academia and government to industry.

On this site you can find links to specific departments within the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering, as well as FAQ’s, application requirements, and financial information. We invite you to explore our array of full-time master’s and doctoral programs and to learn about the unique opportunities and experiences that can be available to you at Johns Hopkins University.
